Emergent, an AI-driven software creation platform, has raised USD 70 million in a Series B funding round led by Khosla Ventures and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with participation from Prosus, Lightspeed, Together, and Y Combinator.

This latest round brings the startup's total funding to USD 100 million, achieved within seven months of its launch.

The fresh funds will be used to expand the team, accelerate product development, and support entry into new markets. The demand for AI-powered software creation is growing among entrepreneurs and small businesses, and the backing from major investors underscores confidence in Emergent's strategy and execution.

Since its inception, Emergent claims to have rapidly scaled to USD 50 million in annual recurring revenue and is projected to surpass USD 100 million by April 2026.

The Series B comes less than three months after Emergent's USD 23 million Series A. Earlier investors included Lightspeed, Together Fund, Y Combinator, Prosus Ventures, and notable angels such as Jeff Dean, Devendra Chaplot, and Balaji Srinivasan.

Launched in 2025 by Mukund Jha and Madhav Jha, Emergent is a San Francisco and Bengaluru-based platform that enables users to build, test, and deploy full-stack web and mobile applications using autonomous AI agents.

The subscription-based system handles coding, UI, backend logic, databases, APIs, servers, payments, and scalability, allowing users to create production-ready apps without technical expertise. Emergent's vision is to empower rapid, unrestricted software creation.
