In 1930 Joseph Bevilacqua Sr. developed a technique for waterproofing basements from the inside, using drain tile and gravel. He passed his knowledge along to his son Joseph Jr., who took over the business in 1958 to begin B-Dry System Inc.

Like his father, Joseph Jr. has developed his own basement waterproofing and drainage systems, receiving patents for three different systems. Today, using the Bevilacqua family's innovations, B-Dry System franchisees offer inspections and waterproofing of basements and crawl spaces.
