There's a lot to consider when creating a business, but deciding which address to use is more important than you might think, Entrepreneur Network partner Mark J. Kohler explains.
There are two types of addresses: a business address and a registered agent address. For a business address, if you don't mind revealing your information to the public, you can use your own home address. Although if you'd like more privacy, you can set up a P.O. box or a mail-forwarding system.
The registered agent address, which is required for an LLC or a corporation, must be a street address. Again, you can use your home address if you're comfortable -- otherwise, try out a mail-forwarding program.
