For Eva Israilova, the most effective aesthetic treatment is not necessarily the one that creates the biggest transformation. It is the one that understands what should be enhanced and what should be left alone.

As the founder of Aesthetic Island, the nurse practitioner and clinical educator has built her practice around an individualized approach to beauty, moving away from the idea that every patient should be working toward the same look. Since opening Aesthetic Island’s Brooklyn, N.Y., flagship location two years ago, Israilova has worked with a growing patient base while creating a space designed to make advanced aesthetic care feel both approachable and personal.

“I imagined building my own practice, a space where my clients could receive high-level care without feeling excluded by price or intimidated by the industry itself,” she says.

That philosophy begins by looking beyond the treatment itself. Israilova says she considers a patient’s lifestyle, medical history, skin health, facial structure, aesthetic preferences, and long-term goals before making a recommendation. Patients may come in seeking wrinkle reduction, facial contouring, Botox, dermal fillers, biostimulators, regenerative treatments, or volume restoration, but the conversation is never limited to what brought them through the door.

Instead, she focuses on developing a plan that evolves with the individual. Israilova says she emphasizes the importance of helping patients separate their own goals from the beauty ideals often presented through social media and celebrity culture. “We meet clients wherever they are in their skin journey,” she says.

Creating that kind of practice became the natural next step after years spent expanding her education and refining her technique. While working within other aesthetic practices, Israilova began to realize that she wanted greater freedom to determine how patients were treated and which services she believed would genuinely benefit them. As more patients began requesting her specifically and seeking her help to correct previous work, the decision to build Aesthetic Island became increasingly clear.

“I wanted the freedom to offer the treatments I believed in and create the level of care clients deserved,” she says. What emerged is a practice built around thoughtful choices, patient education, and a simple idea that has become central to Israilova’s work: aesthetic care should help people feel more confident in what is already theirs.
