New York bagels from the great state of Kentucky are the model for CEO Murad Islamov’s business, Maya Bagel Express. Delivering hot, tasty bagels to hardworking Kentuckians has proven to be an in-demand service, enough for him to open multiple locations.

Having tasted success, Islamov seeks to expand his business into the health industry with Maya Nutrition. He leverages his expertise in building a business from the ground up, hoping to find success again with this new endeavor.

Everything to know: Building Maya Bagel Express

Islamov’s process involves two simple steps. First, create a product people love. Second, scale that product into a business that lasts. While these steps may seem easy on the surface, Islamov has combatted building a business from the ground up.

What carried, or rather pushed, Islamov through the issues was his dedication to the shop’s success. He says, “I don’t dwell on issues and mistakes; I pivot fast to find a solution.”

Islamov’s dedication is an expression of his commitment that also demonstrates the CEO is logical with his execution of tasks, preferring to solve the problem rather than stew in the guilt, worry, or hardship.

His mindset is that of a shrewd businessman, one who is dedicated to his craft with confidence and determination. With recognition from Forbes, Courier Journal, and WLKY, Maya Bagel Express’s success seems to back up its founder’s conviction.

Performing such success once with Maya Bagel Express was a feat, and now Islamov seeks to do it again with a new venture, Maya Nutrition.

Starting over with something new

With Maya Nutrition, Islamov steps into the health industry. The new business aims to be “a modern wellness company,” with a specific commitment to creating premium, science-backed supplements.

The ingredients are claimed to be high-quality and free of unnecessary fillers, resulting in clean formulations that fit into busy lifestyles. Islamov hopes for the supplements to become a trustworthy part of customers’ lives and the backbone of the brand.

The brand will offer a variety of supplements, from gut health to daily wellness. Maya Nutrition’s main goal is making wellness “simple, enjoyable, and accessible.” By delivering products customers love, recommend, and reorder, Islamov seeks to make the business a household name.

What’s next?

From bagels to supplements is quite a move, but Islamov does not shirk from the challenge. He is determined to make it a success.

Maya Bagel Express has expanded to two locations in Kentucky and garnered press coverage and a dedicated social media following on both Instagram and TikTok.

Islamov runs the shop as a family business and hopes to one day pass it on to the rest of his family, sharing the shop through the generations. Perhaps with the determination of its founder, Maya Nutrition may one day see the same treatment.

For now, the anticipation builds regarding whether Islamov’s second venture into a new industry will prove fruitful.
