SXSW 2012: The Sights, Sounds and Buzzwords

min read
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

One reason to attend the annual South by Southwest Interactive festival in Austin, Texas, is to get a jump on new trends and themes emerging at this convergence of industry game-changers. So what are these influencers talking about this year? Entrepreneur's Colleen DeBaise reports.
One topic that's been hard to miss is the weather. Unusual rain has made ponchos popular and caused parking headaches for usually ubiquitous food trucks.
Startup America's Startup Village lounge has also made a big splash at the festival this year, providing a comfortable place to network with potential investors and entrepreneurs.
Attendees were also buzzing about: Lean startups, geolocation-based products and services, gamification, deals, design, and the recession, among a myriad other things.
