Hyring Launches INSIGHT, a Smarter Way to Track Time, Productivity and Work

Hyring Inc. August 14, 2026 Product Launch
Hyring Insight

SAN FRANCISCO — Hyring today released Insight by Hyring, a standalone employee time tracking software and productivity intelligence software that aims to make tracking less about monitoring and evidence collection and more about actionable assets in observation-related data. Insight is available now, starting with a 30-day free trial where you can use every Pro feature, places no cap on team members, and requires no credit card.

Insight records work time, activity levels, screenshots, and app and website usage, which are standard inputs in employee monitoring. The layer of AI time tracking that is added to it is what changes the output. Each capture is contextualized in terms of what was being done at the time, such that a screenshot becomes “LinkedIn, writing a social media post” rather than a grid of images that a supervisor must sort through to determine what is accurate. Moreover, Insight categorizes activities based on their purpose in a business environment either through URL or application, according to the company’s rationale that the same website may serve different purposes for different individuals.

Every employee also picks a personalized floating avatar that sits on the desktop beside the timer. The avatar gets the same indications regarding the level of productivity as a manager might get, while the employee is the first one to know about the implications. The order of information provided is of critical importance.

If the worker is seen straying from their responsibilities, then this becomes an opportunity to invite them to a focused sprint. If there are continuous keyboard inputs on the computer for two hours, then the situation is brought up politely rather than being considered an anomaly.

The avatar is very intuitive and empathetically human, handling water breaks, stretch reminders, the 20-20-20 eye rule, end-of-day wind-down, and any custom reminder that the employee chooses.

“Most monitoring software is built around the task of gathering evidence, and employees can feel that pressure from the day it is introduced in a company,” says Adithyan RK, co-founder and CEO of Hyring. “We wanted this to behave more like your on-screen companion rather than a camera. If the algorithm notices you have been away or that your attention has drifted from your system, the first person who should hear about it is you — that is when you encourage productivity, rather than build a trust deficit and quiet dissent.”

The avatar looks after the individual. There is also a focus music room where team members can listen to their chosen curated music during a high-focus session on their own; therefore, the remote team knows when not to disturb someone. The notifications would also be paused automatically. A separate company-wide view shows who is online and who has finished for the day.

In addition, an employee can send any given colleague a single kudo (as recognition) and no more, which is how Hyring intends to keep the gesture honest, while there is no cap on how many kudos a person receives. A company-wide leaderboard publishes the most appreciated people each month.

For HR managers and administrators, Insight replaces the prosaic task of building reports with a business intelligence bot that takes plain-language questions and answers them with real insights from observational data. When asked who has the bandwidth for a project next week, it returns names with intelligent insights attached, including the people it advises against adding too.

When the question concerns why there was a drop in either output or productivity that day, it points out what the statistics indicate, which may be an instance where overlaps in meetings broke up the usual focus window of the team members, possibly the reason for this situation. No grid of images to flip through, this forms the workforce analytics half of the product.

For Insight, transparency has always been the crux, and therefore everyone who uses it will be able to view anything that Insight records about him or her. In the same vein, administrators can configure the frequency of screenshots captured by the application, as well as the level of blurring and data retention periods. The AI-based proctoring is built to support human review and overview rather than to reach conclusions on its own. Hyring is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.

The product extends Hyring’s platform from the initial-stage hiring into the working relationship that ensues. The same company runs a suite of six other products, including AI resume screening and AI video interviewer, across more than nearly a million AI interviews to date.

Insight is accountable for what happens after the offer is signed, turning work that is being monitored into workforce analytics that informs reviews, workload calls, and headcount.

“A department that is genuinely stretched thin visibly comes up in tracked workload long before HR even starts to take stock”, says Adithyan RK. “Insight gives HR the evidence to justify hiring decisions and the platform it connects to can then go and fill the role, well-informed of the task.”

Insight is the first AI time-tracking product offered by Hyring. It is being marketed as a standalone product with its own users and restrictions, independent of the subscriptions being offered by Hyring at present. All the ‘insights’ that have been derived from the analysis of work in the free trial period are maintained in their original form when the company moves to a paid subscription.
