No one wants to be audited by the Internal Revenue Service. But in case you are, accountant Mark Kohler has four tips to help you save time and money:

1. Have a positive attitude.
2. Stay in touch with the IRS. Do not ignore their correspondence.
3. Follow through on promises made to the IRS.
4. Work with a tax professional who has experience working with the IRS.
