Will.i.am on What You'll Call Wearables in 2030

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

What we call ‘wearables’ today, we’ll call ‘clothing’ by 2030, says famed musician and entrepreneur Will.i.am.

Will, né William Adams, has launched wearables of his own and understands that all new technologies are destined to become commonplace. He predicts that connectivity will so permeate everything from jackets to bags to bracelets and beyond that “technology will be invisible.” Connected clothing, says the artist, is “just going to be the norm.”

For more of his thoughts on this emerging category, watch this exclusive interview captured at our Entrepreneur360 conference in New York City this past fall.
