Mark Zuckerberg's $45 Billion Pledge to His Newborn Daughter

On the eve of Cyber Monday, Amazon gave shoppers a glimpse of its new commercial drone. But don't expect its latest unmanned aircrafts to deliver your holiday wishlist just yet. The e-commerce giant has yet to say on when these drone models will be in service. 

And while most parents announce the birth of their kids by revealing the child's name, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan went a step further. The pair announced the birth of their daughter Max in an open letter that also revealed their pledge to donate 99% of their Facebook shares to philanthropic causes throughout their lifetime. At present, those shares have a current value of about $45 billion, according to Zuckerberg's Facebook announcement.
