In 2011, Jason Lucash and his co-founder Mike Szymczak appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank. They ended up getting offers from Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjevic.

While a deal with Herjevic fell through after filming, the 12-minute spot proved to be an invaluable promotional tool for OrigAudio, the pair's consumer audio company.

“It was awesome exposure. They’ve rerun our episode 26 times, and they did an update on us the following season,” Lucash says. “Shark Tank for us has been the gift that keeps on giving.”

That wouldn’t have been the case if Lucash and Syzymczak had failed to sell their business in the tank. To learn how the duo prepared to pitch the Sharks, watch the above video.
