As an entrepreneur, are you trying to make a difference, every day? Evan Carmichael asks this, because he thinks that if you're not trying to do so -- you're sunk. You're not going to make a lot of money, and you're not going to last long in business.
He says he understands the challenges at first, having to pay the bills and put food on the table without a lot of money.
"But the thing that gets you through the crap of starting a business -- the the hard times, the struggle -- what gets you through is feeling like you're meaningful, and you're important," he says. "I don't know that there are much more important things in your life than feeling like you're having an impact on others."
Carmichael describes how he did not receive very many comments on his first few YouTube videos when he launched his EntSpresso motivational series -- but soon, just one comment provided just enough fuel to keep him at it until the next comment and the next, until he knew that the work he did was having an impact on others.
How are you making a difference in the world?
