With Snapchat, users can send photos and videos to each other, and then they delete automatically from the platform. And to date, the Snapchat community -- which includes businesses trying to promote their brands -- has shared over a billion snaps!

"In contrast, on Instagram, brands often try to pick a perfect image or video to post," Sanchez says in this video. "They can spend hours selecting the right shot and editing the image they're after. While it's important to keep up quality, it's not as serious on Snapchat. That's because the stakes are much lower."

Sanchez recommends that businesses should use Snapchat to let their audience see behind-the-scenes action and real-life interactions. It's also important to keep your snaps upbeat and genuine.
