One of his biggest mistakes? Letting high-drama, high-output workers affect his company's environment. 

Berry claims that business owners need to recognize how a single high-drama employee can keep others from achieving their potential. Too often, bosses -- especially in start-ups -- overlook problems a high-drama employee creates because it seems like his or her work is crucial to the company's success.

"You don't need them," Berry says, "but you're tempted to think you do."
