Jeremy Bloom's Wikipedia page is intimidating.

"Jeremy Bloom is the only athlete in history to ever ski in the Winter Olympics and also be drafted into the National Football League. As a skier he is a three-time World Champion, two-time Olympian and eleven-time World Cup Gold Medalist. He became the youngest freestyle skier in history to be inducted into the United States Skiing Hall of Fame in 2013. He won a record six straight World Cup events, the most in a single season in the sport's history."

And that's just the beginning. It goes on to detail his successful professional football career in the NFL, the nonprofit charity organization he launched that grants wishes to senior citizens and the growing marketing technology firm he founded and is building.

Oh, and Bloom is just 33 years old.

But Bloom says that an admittedly impressive bullet point summary of his career highlights leaves out the real story. "I have failed way more times in everything from football to skiing to building a company en route to having the success," he says during an interview at the Entrepreneur 360 conference in New York City.

To hear more from Bloom about how failures set him up for success, watch the video above. Bloom also published a book, Fueled by Failure: Using Detours and Defeats to Power Progress (Entrepreneur Press, 2015), on the same topic.
