Elon Musk has spent his career building companies with flashy goals such as self-driving cars, human travel to Mars, environmental preservation and friendly artificial intelligence. Now, he’s ready to bore.

The man just loves a good pun, it seems.

Musk has long been a proponent of new technologies for moving people. Earlier this decade, he began drumming up momentum for the Hyperloop concept -- a mode of mass transportation that would propel pods through above-ground pneumatic tubes. The timing is right. Last week, Musk was among 18 tech executives who met with President-elect Donald Trump as part of a Strategic and Policy Forum. While Musk tweeted “I am actually going to do this,” whether he will in fact launch a new venture called “The Boring Company” is yet to be seen. However, he’s since revised his Twitter bio, which now reads, “Tesla, SpaceX, Tunnels (yes, tunnels) & OpenAI.”
