'You Never Have Enough!' Great Advice for Start Ups from Sam Adams Founder Jim Koch Watch the granddaddy of craft beer as he serves up pints of business brilliance.

By Dan Bova

Samuel Adams founder and all-around great guy Jim Koch stopped by the Entrepreneur office to talk about his new book, Quench Your Own Thirst: Business Lessons Learned Over a Beer or Two.

Much like his beverage, Jim's business book is anything but typical, featuring chapter headings like The Difference Between Sex and Masturbation, Take Giant Turds in Stride and, our personal favorite, The "Fuck You" Rule.

By now Jim's rise to dominance in the craft beer business seems like it was always meant to be, but it wasn't. In 1984, when big brewing companies ruled the market and America's beer pallet, his quest to put great suds in our fridges and bellies seemed damn-near impossible. But as he outlines in this very insightful page-turner, he learned lessons the hard way on sales, marketing, hiring, and company culture, and it was those sometimes painful experiences that eventually led him to the top of the hop heap.

Listen in as Jim shares some of his insights and when it comes to running your own business, remember these words:
