  • Yesterday, President Trump signed an executive order creating the "American AI Initiative," to guide Artificial Intelligence development in the United States. The initiative will direct federal agencies to prioritize AI in their research and development, however it did not announce any specific funding assigned for these goals, according to Engagdet.
  • Toys "R" Us is making a comeback. The iconic company will now operate as Tru Kids Inc. under Tru Kids Brands. Tru Kids Brands will be led by Richard Barry, the former global chief merchandising officer at Toys"R"Us, who will serve as President & CEO. Shoppers in the United States should see the brand re-emerge by this holiday season.
  • Finally, LinkedIn is jumping on the live video trend with their new feature LinkedIn Live. As of right now, LinkedIn Live will be invite-only and in beta for U.S. users. LinkedIn says that along with original content, video is the fastest growing format on the social media platform.
