9Round was founded in 2007 by professional kickboxer Shannon Hudson, who won the IKF Light Middleweight Champion of the World title in 2011. 9Round gyms use boxing and kickboxing fitness training methods in a 30-minute circuit-training format. Customers move between 9 different workout stations while supervised by a personal trainer. Hudson began franchising the concept in 2009.
