Launching a successful crowdfunding campaign is easier said than done. But don't let that discourage you: There are certain things you can do to set yourself up to get funded.

And who better to consult for tips on running a successful Indiegogo campaign than Indiegogo co-founder Slava Rubin? In this interview with Entrepreneur (above), Rubin shares specific tips that people gearing up to launch a crowdfunding campaign should keep in mind.

To ensure you catch people's attention, it's important to have a great pitch -- and that doesn't mean a couple of paragraphs of copy. Instead, breaking up the text with images and videos will help grab viewers' attention while telling them more about your product, Rubin advises. Another important must-do is providing updates on your page. "Don't just sit on your story," Rubin tells Entrepreneur, "but rather, engage with the audience."
