It's been three months since Etsy held its last town hall meeting and introduced a controversial set of policy changes that upset some sellers. Now, the DIY digital marketplace is getting ready to hold another town hall that aims to provide sellers with best practices on running their businesses.

Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson and other executives will host the live-streamed meeting on Tuesday at 11 a.m. EST. Buyers and sellers can sign up to view the meeting by registering at www.etsytownhall.com

The meeting is expected to be less significant than October's, which was held on the heels of some substantial updates to the company's policies on shipping, relationships with outside manufacturers and shop size.

One aspect of the changes that inspired some debate was Etsy's evolving definition of what it means for wares to be "homemade." The company wrote on their guidelines page, "sellers create their handmade items in many different ways. Partnering with an outside business is okay, but we'll require you to be honest about how your items are made."

Since the last town hall, Etsy has made some additional feature modifications, offering push notifications and discontinuing their list view (the ability to see search results in a list rather than a gallery) and market research tools, citing infrequent use of both.

In announcement about Tuesday's meeting in Etsy's forum, admin Rob White noted "There will not be any news at this town hall as big as the new policies we unveiled last October. This event will focus on the broad themes of making it easier to run your business on Etsy, and how we plan to help you do that this year!"
