Ray Sozzi, founder of Boston-based Student AdvantageInc., was thinking business even during his own college careerat Dartmouth College, where he started an on-campus newspaperdistribution service. The business was good practice-Sozzilearned how to serve students at the Hanover, New Hampshire, schooland give them what they needed.
In 1992, Sozzi put that knowledge into practice with StudentAdvantage. What started as a student discount program has becomeone of the largest student membership organizations serving thecollege market. Its network of services includes a discountprogram, a college sports community (Fansonly.com) and anonline scholarship research service, to name a few.
